Our Mission:
We understand that dealing with a life-threatening medical crisis can be a very difficult experience for any family. Whether a family has a great deal of support or not, we have a passion to encourage and bless these families in a variety of ways with no strings attached!
Although the board members of the “See Ya Later” Foundation knew from the beginning that supporting families would be one of their areas of service, it wasn’t until 2008 that this outreach, called Seeds of Hope, was born.
Chances are, we all know of someone who has experienced a difficult medical crisis of some kind, or maybe you know of someone right now who is dealing with something that has turned their life upside down. These situations whether minor or severe can throw families into a whirlwind of complications.
Our focus is on children, or parents with children 18 years of age and under, that have been diagnosed with an acute life-threatening medical illness. We serve Oregon’s Yamhill, Polk and Marion Counties as well as Washington’s King and Pierce County.
Families in crisis can be referred to the Seeds of Hope committee and will be asked to complete a Seeds of Hope Application for review and approval. Families will be contacted by a Seeds of Hope committee member and further opportunities will be discussed. Although we are not a ‘resource agency’, we do strive to meet families where they are in their journey and help bring encouragement by offering a variety of gifts and services as budget allows.
*At this time, we are unable to assist with rent and/or mortgage.
Our hope, and what we have seen over and over is that these precious families are enjoying a Seeds of Hope touch.
Seeds of Hope is helping create memories that money can’t buy!
