Volleyball Camp

Camp Director: Taylor Petersen – McMinnville High School (Head Volleyball Coach)

General Information

The “Go Be Great” Volleyball Camp is designed to provide participants with a well-rounded experience that develops both their technical abilities and their personal growth. Throughout the camp, players will be immersed in the core elements of volleyball, including passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Each skill will be broken down into manageable steps, allowing players to progressively improve their abilities through repetition and feedback.

In addition to mastering the fundamental techniques of volleyball, the camp also emphasizes the development of key life skills such as teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. Players will be encouraged to support and uplift one another, fostering an environment where collaboration and positive attitudes are prioritized both on and off the court.

The camp will feature focused drills tailored to individual skill levels, allowing beginners to learn the basics while intermediate players refine their techniques and elevate their gameplay. Coaches will work closely with participants to provide personalized attention, ensuring that everyone receives the support they need to succeed. Interactive drills and competitive scrimmages will be incorporated to simulate game situations, giving players the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in real-time scenarios.

As a result, each participant will leave the “Go Be Great” Volleyball Camp with a stronger understanding of the game, improved technical skills, enhanced confidence, and valuable lessons in sportsmanship that will carry over into other areas of life. Whether players are just starting or are looking to take their game to the next level, this camp offers a supportive and dynamic environment to foster growth and achievement.
