General Information

Three age groups:

1st grade -4th grade

5th grade – 8th grade

9th grade – 12th grade

Competition Guidelines

Theme: Changes based on the season
Medium to be used: Paint (Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic)
Please write a short description of your art piece.
Competitors are to bring their paintings to the SYL Office during a 4 day drop off window. (105 NE 10th St. McMinnville, OR 97128)
Pieces are to be no larger than 16 X 20.
Photos of art creations will be posted on social media along with your first name and grade.
Prizes for 1st – 3rd place in each age group.
1st place winners in each age group will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card!
Top 3 in each age group will have their masterpiece displayed where the public will have a chance to vote for a “People’s Choice” Award.
Winners will be announced one week after the drop off window.

Do we need to sign a medical release?
Yes, a medical release form is required for campers. Parents or guardians must complete and submit this form to provide medical and insurance information in case of an accident or illness.
What is the camp discipline policy?
The camp has a clear discipline policy designed to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Disciplinary measures are age-appropriate and relate directly to the camper’s actions. Physical punishment, verbal abuse, or humiliation are not allowed. If a camper’s behavior remains disruptive after reasonable interventions, parents will be contacted, and the camper may be dismissed from the program.
What is the camp discharge policy?
If a camper is asked to leave early due to behavioral issues, no refunds will be provided. Parents or guardians are responsible for picking up the camper from the camp location.
Where should I pick up my camper/s?
Campers must be picked up at the designated location specified by the camp. Authorized individuals must present valid photo identification and be listed on the registration forms to pick up campers.
Is there a scholarship program?
Yes, the “See Ya Later” Foundation offers scholarships, such as the Scott Banke Memorial Scholarships, which provide financial support for students based on academics, character, leadership, and service. However, these scholarships are primarily for high school graduates rather than for camp attendees
