“Brighter Days” Painting Competition

(Oil, Acrylic, or Watercolor)

Brighter Days invites young artists to use paint to express hope, growth, and positive change, inspired by the way spring brings new life and fresh beginnings. Artists are encouraged to think about moments that feel encouraging, peaceful, or full of possibility.

Your artwork might reflect brighter days in your own life, in your community, or in the world around you. Use color, shapes, and texture to show what hope looks like to you and how brighter days can begin.

Age Categories

1st to 4th Grade
5th to 8th Grade
9th to 12th Grade

Artwork Drop Off

Bring completed paintings to the SYL Office during the week of March 30 through April 4.

Drop Off Times

Monday through Friday, March 30 to April 3
9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Saturday, April 4
10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Artwork Size Requirement

Please ensure artwork does not exceed 16 x 20 inches.
