Contribution to the Foundation:
As a Development & Communications Director, I support the “See Ya Later” Foundation by helping strengthen fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and community outreach. With a background in nonprofit development, event planning, and storytelling, I focus on ensuring the foundation has the resources and support needed to continue bringing hope to local families, students, and children.
Strengths You Add to the Team:
I bring strengths in storytelling, development, and strategic planning to the “See Ya Later” Foundation. I love using storytelling to connect people to the heart of our mission, making the impact of our programs feel real and personal. My background in development helps cultivate meaningful donor relationships and create fundraising opportunities that keep our mission moving forward. With a strategic mindset, I focus on planning and executing initiatives that not only drive growth but also create a lasting legacy. But more than anything, I care about building relationships—connecting people to a mission that truly makes a difference in the lives of kids, families, and the community.
Most Important Aspect of the ‘See Ya Later’ Foundation:
The See Ya Later Foundation is more than just an organization—it’s a source of encouragement, support, and lasting impact for people facing challenges. Whether it’s providing scholarships for students, walking alongside families facing medical hardships, or giving kids an unforgettable camp experience, SYL is committed to offering hope. The way the foundation steps in during pivotal moments to bring comfort, strength, and opportunity is what makes it truly special.
Why Did You Get Involved with the ‘See Ya Later’ Foundation:
I got involved because I believe in the power of hope and encouragement. I’ve seen firsthand how meaningful it is when people step into hard seasons with support, generosity, and kindness. “See Ya Later” does this in a way that is not only impactful but also deeply personal, and I wanted to be part of a foundation that builds a legacy of hope, ensuring its impact is felt for generations.
Most Memorable ‘See Ya Later’ Moment:
One of the most meaningful moments for me was witnessing the impact of the Seeds of Hope program on a family friend facing an incredibly difficult season. The ongoing encouragement from “See Ya Later”—through thoughtful gifts, heartfelt messages, and unwavering support—became a lifeline for them and their kids. In the midst of their darkest moments, these small but powerful gestures reminded them they were seen, cared for, and never alone. It was a beautiful reflection of hope in action, helping to carry them through the storm.
Additionally, I was really moved by a volunteer who shared how much joy they get from serving. It was a reminder of what makes “See Ya Later” so special—it’s not just about the programs but the people behind them who genuinely care. Seeing the impact on kids and youth, whether through scholarships, camps, or simple moments of encouragement, is incredible. They walk away knowing they’re valued and supported, and that kind of investment in their future is something that lasts far beyond the moment.
Where Do You See the Foundation In 5 Years:
I see the “See Ya Later” Foundation continuing to grow in its reach and impact, expanding programs, deepening donor relationships, and making a difference in even more lives. Over the next five years, I’d love to see even more families, students, and children experience the hope and encouragement that SYL provides. As we continue to build strong community support, the foundation will be able to serve more people, offer new opportunities, and create lasting change for generations to come.
Board ofDirectors
The “See Ya Later” Foundation board of directors was created in 2001 to honor a young man and his dream. Over the last several years they have worked together to build an indoor play area called Scotty’s Playhouse, provide sports camps for 100′s of kids, college scholarships for local high school seniors, and support for families in need during a life-threatening medical crisis.
