Contribution to the Foundation:
I feel that I contribute to the Foundation mostly with my commitment and willingness to help where needed. I like being the support person and more in the background.
Strengths You Add to the Board:
Making stuff happen! Being a doer! Willingness to serve others.
Most Important Aspect of the ‘See Ya Later’ Foundation:
It’s difficult to pick just one part, but having Scotty’s life continue making a difference means a lot to me.
Why Did You Get Involved with the ‘See Ya Later’ Foundation:
To be honest, after losing Scotty, it was never Carmen’s or my idea to create a Foundation in his honor, but God had other plans. The driving force really came from a few amazingly talented and passionate friends. We have completely been humbled to witness how the foundation impacts kids and families in positive ways in Scotty’s honor.
Most Memorable ‘See Ya Later’ Moment:
Probably cutting the ribbon at the Grand Opening of Scotty’s playhouse, watching and hearing the kids play for the first time was amazing and was such a humbling experience.
Where Do You See the Foundation In 5 Years:
My hope is that many more people will be impacted in a positive way!
Board ofDirectors
The “See Ya Later” Foundation board of directors was created in 2001 to honor a young man and his dream. Over the last several years they have worked together to build an indoor play area called Scotty’s Playhouse, provide sports camps for 100′s of kids, college scholarships for local high school seniors, and support for families in need during a life-threatening medical crisis.
